Rays of Hope utilizes peer support group environments led by compassionate adults who guide, listen and support children while they express their feelings and fears, sort through their confusion, and begin the healing process. None of the services provided by Rays of Hope are counseling or therapy sessions.
Rays of Hope Children’s Grief Center is an outreach of Hospice of Midland, a not-for-profit organization. Services provided and programs attended are free of charge. All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax-deductible.
We work with children aged 4 to 18 years.
If you are interested in enrollment, please call (432) 684-KIDS, email jmorgan@raysofhopemidland.org, or visit us at 900 West Wall Street, Midland, Texas 79701. Referrals are not required.
Children who have experienced significant loss due to death, separation, divorce, incarceration, deployment or foster care are encouraged to participate.
Tools of Expression (TOE) is a class using creative and expressive arts to encourage and promote healthy coping skills.
We do not work with kids one-on-one. Children are in peer support groups. We believe when children are placed with others their same age with similar circumstances they realize and understand they are not alone and have opportunities to create a meaningful bond.
