End-of-Life Care

Understanding End-of-Life Care

Living with a serious illness can be incredibly challenging, both physically and emotionally. During this difficult time, patients and their families need compassionate support to navigate the complexities of end-of-life care. That’s where Hospice of Midland comes in.

Who We Are

Founded in 1981, Hospice of Midland is the Permian Basin’s first and only nonprofit hospice. For over 42 years, we’ve been dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to terminally ill patients and their families. Our mission is simple: “Care from the heart to fulfill the unique needs of patients and families.”

Our Services

1. Home Hospice Care

  • We offer home hospice care, allowing patients to remain in the comfort of their own homes while receiving expert medical attention.
  • Our experienced care team provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support to both patients and their families.
  • Regardless of your ability to pay, we strive to deliver excellent service and superior care.

2. Palliative Care

  • Our Pathways Community Palliative Care program focuses on improving the quality of life for patients and their families.
  • Palliative care provides education and support and to help manage the challenges of serious illness, reducing stress and enhancing overall well-being.

3. Grief Counseling

  • Losing a loved one is never easy. Our grief counseling services offer emotional and spiritual support during and after terminal illness.
  • We provide individual counseling, support groups, and even a free summer camp for children grieving the loss of someone they love.
  • Our extensive bereavement programs are open to anyone in the community who needs them.
